Sun 7th October 7:30 PM National Maritime Museum of Ireland The History Ireland Hedge School supported by the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht will host a discussion panel in the National Maritime Museum on The Sinking of the RMS Leinster and the War at Sea”. The contributors will be Bernadette Whelan, University of Limerick, Dr. Michael Kennedy, Royal Irish Academy, Dr. Jeff Kildea, University of New South Wales and Philip Lecane, National Maritime Museum. Entry is free of charge.  

RMS Leinster Seminar

Tue 9th October 10:30 AM The National Maritime Museum will host an all-day seminar with a break for lunch entitled “RMS Leinster One Hundred Years On – Exploring Various Facets of the Sinking”. The speakers will be Mr Stephen Ferguson An Post, Dr. Michael Kennedy Royal Irish Academy, Dr. Jeff Kildea, University of New South Wales, Philip Lecane, Maritime Museum, Andrea Ward, RMS Leinster relative and researcher Lucille Ellis. Tickets €10.
